Introducing the fd, rt and lt commands to move the turtle forward and make it turn right or left.
After the video, create your turtle, and try to move it to the coordinates (-5, 5), which is northwest of the origin. Do this in two steps, first to the left, and then up. And then try to come back to the origin in one step.
Now put the turtle's pen down by typing the pd command (BTW, pu lifts its pen up), and doing step #2 again, drawing a right triangle.
Now enlarge your turtle to, say, size 6.
Next, figure out the size of your Netlogo screen by pressing the "Settings" button that's near the upper-right of the Netlogo window. Look for the setting for "max-pxcor" -- it will probably be something like 16. Remember this number and then cancel the "Settings" window.
Assuming that your turtle is at the origin, ask it to move forward by max-pxcor (the number you got in step 5) steps.
What happened to the turtle's body? Move it forward by a half step (you can use decimals). What's happening? Keep moving it forward by a step once or twice more.
